Cobourg Media Christmas Special Raises $2600 for the Community

Cobourg Media is pleased to announce that the 3rd Cobourg Media Christmas Special has raised $2600 for the Salvation Army and Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank with a grand total of over $6000. This year, more than 175 people were in attendance, plus the 50 crew members, volunteers, and performers that made the evening possible. The fantastic show in CCI’s Great Hall included Cale Crowe, Honey Soul, and the CCI Dance Team.

“Imagine all we have accomplished, donating, motivating but, most importantly, changing the lives of people who matter most to us. We have brought the community together to support very important causes in Cobourg. During my sign off I explained this was my last special as I move away to University next year. I want to thank everyone who has supported this cause” said Graham Beer, Executive Producer of Cobourg Media.

“We are very grateful and thank you for all your hard work over the years. Cobourg Media’s donation has made a large impact on Northumberland County Foodbanks” said Rick Riley, Executive Director of the Northumberland Fare Share Foodbank.

“It is truly incredible to see the community and school come together to support our causes. We are very grateful for your peaceful efforts” said Captain Michael Simpson of the Salvation Army.

The one-hour special can be watched on our Cobourg Media platforms www.cobourgmedia.ca/christmasspecial and on Cogeco’s YourTV (Channel 700) throughout the Christmas season.
