CCI’s Environmental Club is hosting an Electronic Waste Collection event on Friday, May 12th from 3- 8 pm at Cobourg Collegiate Institute, 335 King St. East in Cobourg.
Please drop off any unwanted computer equipment, cell phones, audio equipment, printers, and other electronics at the free event to support the club. Individuals and businesses may participate. The bin will be set up in the west parking lot of the school.
Emma Zoldy of the Environmental Club reported that it has been very successful in the past and it’s a great opportunity while people spring clean, “It is a win-win situation getting rid of broken and old electronics while supporting the environment. We want to thank the school community for their ongoing support with our initiatives.”
The club also confirmed that their battery box will be available for dead and unwanted batteries.
