CCI’s Senior Boys Soccer Team Enjoys OFSAA Experience

The CCI Senior Boys soccer team competed in the OFSAA “AAA” championships at Hamilton and Stoney Creek on Thursday and Friday.

The Senior boys battled through some key absences and injuries at OFSAA.  The Wolves tied Martingrove 2-2 and lost to Holy Trinity (Oakville) 2-0, Clarke Road (London) 3-1, and South Carleton (Ottawa) 1-0.  It was a colossal achievement considering the challenges we faced and the quality of the teams we played.

Special recognition should be given to junior players Ben Nairn, Josh Aitkin and Brendan James, who stepped up to play for the seniors.  Also, Owen Bailey should be recognized for stepping up to play goal when our starting goalie could not play due to injury.  And finally, Mitchel Benson, our captain, should be recognized for playing an unbelievable tournament, singlehandedly keeping the Wolves in each of these games with his defensive skills. The Wolves were lead coaches, Scott Parr and Justin Kerr.
