Cobourg Media is a media and news company offering local news, video and multi-media services.
Founder, Executive Producer, and Host Graham Beer started Cobourg Media at the age of twelve on September 9, 2012. Formerly known as Cobourg News, the inaugural video report originated when his mom and her friend were almost killed by a falling tree branch on their way to an art show. After confirming that everyone was safe, Graham grabbed his camera and microphone to cover the story. His passion for videotaping and journalism then came into action.
Two years after this first report, Graham started to provide production services for the community. He formally launched his business and changed the name to Cobourg Media, including Cobourg News as the flagship news segment.
As the roving reporter for Cobourg Media, Graham has interviewed several notables including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, CBC’s Peter Mansbridge, Ontario Premiers Doug Ford and Kathleen Wynne, Olympians Clara Hughes and Hayley Wickenheiser, Vimy Foundation Co-Chair Helen Vari, WE Founder Craig Kielburger and many others.
For three consecutive years, Graham and his team of volunteers raised over $6000 for the Salvation Army and the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank through the Cobourg Media Christmas Special at Cobourg Collegiate Institute. The televised concert showcased local talent on Cobourg Media platforms and Cogeco YourTV.
Cobourg Media offers professional production services such as videography, promotional videos, advertising, interviews, video editing, and social media marketing. Clients and partnerships include CityNews Toronto, the Vimy Foundation, Ontario Provincial Police, Independent Grocer, Summer Company and many other local businesses and organizations.
Cobourg Media is focused on the community striving to impact one person, one policy or one’s views.
