Founder and Executive Producer Graham Beer created Cobourg News (now known as Cobourg Media) 6 years ago on September 9, 2012, at the age of twelve. The first inaugural video report was when Graham’s mom, Susan and her friend Judy almost got killed by a falling tree branch on their way to an art show. After the tree was attended to and Susan and Judy were safe, Graham’s passion for videotaping and journalism came into action. Pulling aside his friend Hunter Straughan and Kieran McFarlane to help tape the “Tree Report”. Cobourg News was then born.
Two years after, Graham branched out and started to provide production services for the community. Graham launched his business and changed the name to Cobourg Media, including Cobourg News as a flagship segment for the business.
Before Cobourg News was founded, Graham built Breakfast Television ”Toronto’s #1 Morning Show” out of Lego in 2009 and in 2012, appearing on the show with the whole structure. Getting to know the crew and on-air personalities, Graham became friends and attends many BT events.
