The Kaitlyn Bates Initiative (KBI) is raffling off a custom made, Boucher acoustic guitar, signed by the iconic Canadian rock band, Rush.

Hand-made by Boucher Guitars in Quebec, the guitar was presented to Rush on their induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010; it was generously gifted to KBI and is now being raffled off in support of their youth programs.

A limited number of 2500 tickets are being sold at $20 each and are available to Ontario residents only. The draw date is December 18th, 2020 in Cobourg. For details or to purchase a ticket, go to www.kbiinspires.com/kbiraffle2020.

Purchasing a raffle ticket not only gives buyers a chance at winning a beautiful instrument and a piece of history, but it will also have a lasting, positive impact on the lives of young people in our community.

Dedicated to the memory of Kaitlyn Bates, KBI is a non-profit organization based in Northumberland County, Ontario, committed to the development and empowerment of young people. All raffle profits go directly back into KBI programs, such as the recently launched online youth magazine and arts platform, Inspire Magazine.

“When I started The Kaitlyn Bates Initiative, it was a way to heal and to honour my daughter. I wanted to do what I felt she would have done, which is to make a positive difference in the lives of her peers,” said Doug Bates, President of KBI. “I know she would be proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

It’s easy to get your tickets! Online, via email/e-transfer or in-person for (socially distanced) pick-up/delivery. To purchase a ticket online, visit the KBI online store at www.kbiinspires.com/shop. To use e-transfer or to arrange an in-person purchase, simply email [email protected].
