Cobourg Police Launches Love for Lemonade Stands Campaign

The Cobourg Police Service is starting a new initiative just in time to cool off from the summertime heat.

#CopsLoveLemonadeStands is a trending initiative that is gaining momentum across Canada and the USA. Police Officers in Palo Alto California came up with the idea to have kids tweet about their lemonade stands in order for Police to stop by and visit. This is another way for the Cobourg Police Service to engage with the community we serve and an opportunity to build relationships with the youth in our community.

“Our officers are excited to support the very young entrepreneurs in Cobourg. We need your kids to help us stay cool this summer.

So moms and dads reach out to us and surprise your child with a visit from Cobourg’s finest.” Says Police Chief Kai Liu.

We are encouraging parents to contact the Cobourg Police Service by Facebook, Twitter or by phone at 905 372-6821 to let us know that your child is setting up a lemonade stand. Please let us know where we can locate them and the date and time.
