The 28th Cobourg Waterfront Festival and Canada Day Celebrations were packed with visitors and locals as thousands took in the festivities and warm weather. Victoria Park was filled with music, children’s activities, and fun for the whole family.
Beginning at 1 p.m., the Canada Day parade showcased a variety of floats decorated around the theme “This is Why We Love Canada” coming through King Street to Church Street.
After the parade, the opening ceremonies began at 2 p.m with dignitaries, event organizers and Canada Day cupcakes after singing O Canada and Happy Birthday. The celebrations came to a close with a stunning display of fireworks at 10 p.m.
