Cameron Bruce will be competing at the 2017 OFSAA Track and Field Championships this coming Friday and Saturday in Belleville. Cameron will be competing in the 110m and 400m Hurdles. The MA Sills Park complex, including the Bruce Faulds Track, will entertain the best high school athletes in the province at the championships, June 1-3. Belleville first hosted the event in 2002. The OFSAA championships are one of the largest track and field meets in North America. Athletes qualify at the district and regional levels to advance to the all-Ontario finals. Several OFSAA champions have gone on to represent Canada at the international level — including the Summer Olympic Games.
The CCI Senior Boys Soccer team is also heading to OFSAA but in the other direction to Hamilton. They are playing in the AAA Boys’ Soccer Competition from June 1-3. They will compete with other teams from all over the province including CCI, Collingwood Collegiate Institute. They play 2 games on Thursday and Friday before the finals.
