On Friday evening, Northumberland-Peterborough South MP Kim Rudd will welcome Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to Cobourg for a special nomination celebration.
On October 15, Rudd announced on her Facebook page that the Prime Minister would be her special guest at the event on Friday, October 19 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, which will be held at LIUNA local 183, 560 Dodge St., in Cobourg.
“Supporters from all ridings are welcome to join us. Please note that large bags and backpacks will not be permitted, so please plan accordingly” read Rudd’s Facebook post.
No further details have been officially released but the Cobourg Police Pipes and Drums band are expected to be in attendance with other special dignitaries.
The event will fall almost exactly one year ahead of Canada’s federal election taking place on October. 21, 2019.
